This is information on how to syncronize your hardware clock with internet time the manual way. Make sure you have the program rdate installed.
- rdate -s nist1-ny.WiTime.net
- hwclock --systohc
This will update your clock to Eastern Timezone (New York) and then apply the change to your hardware clock. You may notice the screen go blank for a couple of seconds upon running rdate while in a KDE4 environment.
